Strangely Me! Embracing My Quirky Journey

“All the best things that came to me in life have been unexpected, unplanned by me.” – Lindsey

Hey there, Join me as I take you on a ride through the chaotic yet fulfilling chapters of my life. Life has a way of throwing surprises at us, and I, dear friends, have lived my life as a beautiful mess. So, buckle up and join me as we dive into the chaos that eventually led to clarity!

When I was a kid, If you asked me about the dumbest thing I ever wished for, it would undoubtedly be to become an adult. Ah, the innocence of youth! longing for grown-up responsibilities and independence. Little did I know that adulthood comes with its fair share of challenges and complexities. But hey, isn’t it strange how we perceive things from a different lens as we grow?

My high school journey led me down the peculiar path of choosing the commerce group. How I ended up there, I’ll never truly know. But hey, it perfectly aligns with the title, doesn’t it? Life has a funny way of steering us toward unfamiliar territories. Five long years of commerce and accountancy followed, and I can proudly say that I mastered the art of drawing a balance sheet without a ruler! Quite an achievement, if I may say so myself.

Like many, I once struggled with the age-old question – “What should I do with my life?” But life has a funny way of showing us our true calling at the most unexpected times. And so it happened—I found my passion in Marketing, the only place where ‘thinking outside the box’ isn’t just a cliche, but a way of life.

Starting my marketing career at an ed tech giant, I absorbed knowledge like a sponge. But as we all know, life rarely follows our scripts. A layoff hit me hard, leaving me to pick up the pieces and contemplate my next move.

Now, here’s the plot twist – a Marketer turned HR! Who would have thought? Strangely Me indeed!

Remember, the journey to success is rarely a straight line. It’s okay to take detours, embrace the mess, and discover the extraordinary in the unexpected.

Hope you enjoyed my messy life – cheers to all the wonderfully strange paths we take!

With love,
Strangely Me! – Lindsey
